Providing confidence to unleash your pet.
Why Chose Us?
We believe in teaching you how to train your dog. We will provide you with the resources to feel confident in your pet's behavior 24/7. An obedient dog is much more enjoyable to spend time with and considerably less stressful to be around. It's important to exercise your dogs both physically and mentally; with our training courses they'll be stimulated in both areas each session.

Socialization
Training
Pet Socialization is always done one-on-one first with our trained dog Kenji. This helps to ease your pet into meeting and being around unfamiliar dogs before doing a group session.
We cover how to properly introduce your dog to another animal, and when it’s appropriate to intervene.
Sometimes this can take a few sessions depending on a case-by-case basis, but is included with your training package. If you
would like to do pet socialization without another course, contact us for a quote.
Boarding
Our boarding services are setup to accommodate dogs in a more pampered environment. During their stay, your dog will be treated just like a member of the family. Our goal during boarding is to provide the closest thing to home for your dog while you’re away.
Dogs that participate in boarding services must be neutered/spayed (unless too young) and up to date with their vaccinations. Pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the needs and duration of the boarding.

Board & Train
Board and train is a service that puts your dog’s training in our capable paws. During your dog’s stay they will be taught all the
fundamentals needed for a successful life with their owner. We believe in implementing structure to your dog starting with boundary training and reducing behaviors such as jumping, nipping, barking, and more.

Consulting
We now offer a one-hour phone consultation service tailored for dog owners looking to address minor behavioral problems or seeking advice as first-time pet parents!
Our expert trainer will provide personalized guidance and practical solutions to help you and your furry friend thrive together. Please note that this service is not suitable for aggressive dogs or situations requiring in-person assessment.
We prioritize your pet's well-being, and if we find that your dog's needs extend beyond a consultation, we will recommend a comprehensive training course to ensure the best outcome.
FAQs
-
We ask that all clients have a six-foot leash, a collar and training treats. If we will be working on leash work, we also recommend using a harness. In special circumstances, a crate, doggy gate or other materials may apply but would be discussed at orientation.
-
At this time we request that all clients make an appointment before coming to the facility: by phone 937.559.6799, email rgtwedell@gtdogtraining.com or by filling out the form field on the website.
-
Standard in home packages are scheduled once a week for about 8 weeks. Each session is 45 minutes long. Standard board and train is a two week stay. We may request to extend that time typically by a day or two if we feel that they require a little more fine tuning in their training.
-
We offer a more economical price for quality dog classes. Our prices are based on a case-by-case structure just like our courses. One size doesn’t fit all, so we work with you to only give you the parts of training that you really need. This means we only charge for what you need, and we’re up front about any additional costs during our free orientation. Contact us to schedule your orientation and talk about how we can create a program that fits for your dog, lifestyle and budget.
-
We request that an hour prior to your scheduled class time you allow your dog time to relieve themselves, and then ‘suit up’ your dog with their collar, leash and/or harness so that they’re prepared without distractions and ready for training when we begin.
-
Life happens, and sometimes things are unexpected. Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled class. This gives us the opportunity to fill the class. You may cancel by phone or email. If you have to cancel your class, we will extend the course an extra week to accommodate the missed class. If your cancellation is less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $50. Family and medical emergencies are excused with proper documentation. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
-
We price based on the time we spend working with you and your household rather than the number of dogs or people that will be present for training. However, you may need more time if you have multiple dogs within the home with different issues. *Boarding, board and train service fees are per dog.
-
Absolutely! We love group sessions, however both parties would be charged as separate households.
-
We currently only offer our services to dogs.
-
We want to clarify that we do not assist clients in rehoming dogs. Our focus is on providing training and behavioral support to help you address any challenges with your pet, ensuring you can maintain a healthy, enjoyable relationship. If you're facing difficulties, please reach out to us for guidance before considering rehoming. We are here to support you and your dog through training solutions and resources. Thank you for understanding!
